我等の世界とは歪な鏡の中よ、船頭小唄の世界だ。

おおーや、虎蔵さんよそう恨めしい顔なんかするな、男前が吹っ飛んでしまうよ。
まるで東洲斎写楽の三世大谷鬼次の奴江戸兵衛そっくりに成っちまったらあかんだろ。

蛙の様に小さく開いた手に、巨大な顔に一文字に曳いた口は鍵型で鼻はビラミッドの石のような角度で降りている、つり上がった細く小さい目は誠にひょうきんであんな目は何にも例えようがないし前にも後にも前例がない人類史に残る画像だろう。

男子が生まれ嬉しいが父の私にも日露戦争の兵隊への召集令状が来たことがある。
今後どれだけ生まれて来る子供には戦場にかり出される事やら不安もよぎる。

与謝野晶子が君死にたもう事なかれ、と詩を発表した。
原始女性は太陽であったと雷鳥を待つまでもない偉大な反戦平和の人類は女なり、戦争遂行賛美の文学者が刺草の牙をつけて鉄の蔓の爪を伸ばしてきた。
半島の外国の海峡にも平和の灯火など見えるはずも無い。

亀松は女の声は暗い居間、厨房の板の黒々とした色も湿りを含んだ納屋、玄関の暗い土間も重い空気も明るく輝かせてくれることを知り、狐色に包まれて乾燥している幸福はそれを不思議な気持ちになって受け取った。
